Directions . . . (Alternative Route -
While Dr Schwietering is closed - Road Works)
Arriving from Henties Bay: As you enter
Swakopmund when arriving from the north (Henties Bay,
Uis, etc) drive up to the second traffic circle,
exit the traffic circle with the second street, Vrede Rede
Avenue, continue for approx 0.4km turn right
into Aldridge Street, drive for about 1km, crossing Möven,
past Omec and Harder streets, then turn left into
Flamingo Street, Continue
on Flamingo Street up to the 4-Way Intersection, keep
straight onto Possession Island Street which become Tsavorite
street and turn left into Plover street, continue on
Plover street until you see the Atlantic Villa on your
right-hand side.
Arriving from Windhoek: Continue on the B2
from Windhoek into Swakopmund, at the first traffic
light turn right into Moses Garoeb Street (Shoprite
Centre on your left) continue with Moses Garoeb Street for
approx 2.7km (first traffic circle) and exit the circle
on the first exit into Vrede Rede Avenue, continue
for approx 0.4km turn right
into Aldridge Street, drive for about 1km, crossing Möven,
past Omec and Harder streets, then turn left into
Flamingo Street, Continue
on Flamingo Street up to the 4-Way Intersection, keep
straight onto Possession Island Street which become Tsavorite
street and turn left into Plover street, continue on
Plover street until you see the Atlantic Villa on your
right-hand side.
Note: You can also turn right at the truck
stop when arriving from Windhoek into Nelson Mandela
Street, continue for approx 2.0 km turn at
the traffic circle into Moses Garoeb Street (Henties Bay Road)
at the first traffic circle turn left into Vrede Rede
Avenue and follow the directions as above.
Arriving from Walvis Bay: Continue into
Swakopmund on the B2 onto Nathaniel Maxilulu Street and
at the first traffic light turn right into Dr Sam Nujoma
Ave. Drive for approx 0.6km turn left
into Moses Garoeb Street. (Shoprite Centre on your left),
continue with Moses Garoeb street for approx 2.7km (first
traffic circle) exit the circle on the first exit into
Vrede Rede Avenue, continue for approx 0.4km turn right
into Aldridge Street and follow directions as for the
above two arriving from Windhoek.
